If you've visited hiresbigh.com recently, you may have noticed things look a little different. That's because we've completely rebuilt our website from the ground up — and we're excited to show you around.
Why We Rebuilt
Our family has been serving Utah since 1959. In that time, we've never changed the way we make our burgers — fresh-ground, in-house, every single morning. But the way our customers find us, order from us, and connect with us has changed enormously. Our old website served us well, but it was time for something that matched the standard we hold ourselves to in the kitchen.
The new site is faster, easier to navigate, and built to work beautifully on your phone. Because let's be honest — most of you are looking us up while you're already hungry and driving.
What's New
Easier ordering. Our "Order Now" button connects you directly to your nearest location's online ordering through SpotOn. Pick your location, build your order, and it's ready when you arrive. No apps to download. No accounts to create.
Our full story. We've expanded our About page to tell the full story of Don Hale — the grocer's son who opened a drive-in in 1959 and built something that three generations of his family still pour their hearts into. If you have a few minutes, read it. We think you'll understand why your burger tastes the way it does.
The real menu. Every item, every price, every description — all in one place. We've organized it the way you'd read a menu board, with the stories behind items like our Veggie H (Jon Hale went to the library and researched it himself) and our house-made brownie (the family recipe came from Jon's sister-in-law in the 1980s — she called them something we can't print here).
Location pages that actually help. Each of our three locations — Salt Lake City, Midvale, and Daybreak — has its own page with hours, phone number, directions, and what makes that location special.
Root beer recipes. Our famous extract has always been available to ship anywhere in the U.S. Now we've added six different recipes — from classic root beer to floats to a SodaStream method — so you can make it exactly the way you like at home.
